McIntosh County GOP News

Hello, McIntosh County residents.

We spent last weekend at our quarterly State Committee meeting, where we brought a resolution important to all of us. Everyone knows we have been paying huge fines due to prior leadership so the McIntosh County Committee wrote a resolution to put policies into place to prevent this from ever happening again. We presented it at the State committee meeting and it passed if you would like to see it, text me at 918.617.6124 and I’ll be glad to post it!

With all that said, we have candidates at our upcoming meetings, James Taylor (for Superintendent), Lisa Janloo, Kenneth Sturgell, Jeff Starling, Chris Meredith, and as many as we can fit in between now and the primary. Pay attention to our little corner of the world and Facebook to stay updated.

Another bit of exciting news, a new website has launched where you can ‘Follow the Money’ on any legislator in the state. You literally just type in a name, hit enter and you can find out everything you want to know — campaign expenditures, lobbyist money received, consultant, and conservative index score. You can see how various factors affect their scores; it’s fascinating! Go explore www.MOGANetwork. com/research, you will be in awe at the wealth of information readily available!

Next meeting is April 23rd, we will have the Honorable Charles Key, former state Representative — he has lots of things going on, but he will be talking about two main topics. First, he will be discussing the investigation into the OKC bombing. He’s been working on a documentary with Tucker Carlson, from what I heard and he wants to share what he’s learned with us! Secondly, he’s been working on getting the language right for SQ 840, which is all about legislators being allowed to present their bills. Currently, there is a system that thwarts much of that — let’s hear from him how he plans to correct this issue if the people pass his State Question 840. If you remember, he wrote a book called Stolen Government, so this is a step beyond that and now We the People have a way of taking action to correct this situation!

If you need info on who to vote for, you can come to our meetings or message us, or you can also subscribe to Awake Oklahoma’s voter guide for accurate voter information. Go here: https:// awakeoklahoma.com/ index.php/voter-guide/. Please come to our meetings, we’d love to meet you and show you what we have going on! All are welcome and as always, we serve light refreshments.
