EUFAULA — The countdown is on! The Eufaula High School Speech and Drama Department wants to ensure you don’t miss out on the comedy event of the season. On Thursday, April 23, at 7 p.m., the EHS Auditorium will transform into the chaotic, hilarious world of high school theater with their production of Don Zolidis’s The Rehearsal.
If you’ve ever wondered what really happens behind the curtain, this play pulls it all back. From a stage manager with a power complex to a lead actor who’d rather be in Wicked, the production is a “hilarious and poignant” tribute to the “drama” of putting on a show.
“This play truly hits home for me,” says director and drama teacher Selina Dornan. The community is invited to see the hard work of these talented students as they tackle the hurdles of staging a musical—with plenty of heart and humor along the way.
Why you shouldn’t miss it:
• Support Local Students:
All proceeds from ticket and concession sales directly benefit the Speech and Drama Department, funding future productions and educational trips.
• Award-Winning Writing:
Don Zolidis is one of the most-produced playwrights in American high schools for a reason—his work is fast-paced, funny, and deeply authentic.
• Affordable Fun:
It’s a great night out for the whole family!
