Community workshop to offer practical parenting tools in Eufaula

Families and educators in the Eufaula area will have the opportunity to gain valuable parenting insights at an upcoming free workshop led by a licensed psychologist.

Dr. Randleman, PhD, a licensed psychologist, will present “A Parent Informative Workshop: Practical Tools to Help Your Child Succeed” on Monday, April 20, at 5 p.m. The event will be held at Community Culture Church, located at 110 High Street in Eufaula.

The workshop is open to parents, caregivers, and educators and will focus on providing evidence-based guidance and practical tools to better understand and manage children’s behaviors. The session will address everyday challenges faced both at home and in school, with an emphasis on building stronger relationships and improving outcomes for children.

Organizers describe the event as a judgment-free, respectful, and practical learning environment designed to benefit both children and the adults who support them.

Included topics will cover:

• Understanding why children behave and act the way they do

• Strengthening parent-child relationships through Parent-Child Inter-action Therapy (PCIT)

• Healthy and effective discipline strategies— what works versus what does not

• Thoughtful guidance on discipline choices, including spanking vs. non-physical approaches

• Understanding when medication may or may not be helpful

Community members interested in learning practical, research-based parenting strategies are encouraged to attend this free event.

This judgement-free, respectful workshop is designed to benefit children and adults.
