The City of Eufaula is making it easier than ever for visitors to experience everything the community has to offer while creating opportunities for local small businesses to grow and thrive.
The airport courtesy car is available to pilots and visitors flying into Eufaula and serves as a direct connection between the Eufaula Municipal Airport and downtown. The program helps turn visitors into customers for Eufaula’s small businesses by providing a simple way to access local shops, restaurants, and services. Whether it is grab- bing a meal, shopping local, or exploring downtown, the courtesy car brings visitors directly to local businesses.
“Every visitor counts,” said Chrissy Hall with Sharpe’s Department Store. “When someone flies in and comes downtown, that is a direct boost to our local economy.”
The success of the courtesy car program reflects strong collaboration between the City of Eufaula and community partners. This includes area pilots and airport users who helped identify this as an opportunity to add convenience to the airport while also supporting the community.
“This program is a great example of how small, strategic investments can create real momentum for our local economy,” said Andrea Oldham, Tourism and Economic Development Director. “By connecting visitors directly to our vibrant downtown and small businesses, the program enhances the visitor experience while supporting the entrepreneurs and families who make Eufaula unique.”
Through efforts like the airport courtesy car program, the City of Eufaula continues to invest in economic development, support for small businesses, and a welcoming experience that reflects what makes Eufaula special.
