Get ready for a weekend of carnival fun, classic cars and crazy horsepower in Checotah. A carnival will kick off the weekend fun and go from April 30 to May 3 at the Checotah Sports Complex. Thursday and Friday will be from 6-10 p.m. Saturday 1-5 p.m. or 5-10 p.m. and Sunday 1-5 p.m. Rides Games – Food – Fun are guaranteed!
Armbands will be $30. Anyone interested in being a food or arts and craft vendor can get a vendor application from city hall.
A Burnout Contest on Friday, May 1 at 7 p.m. at the CC Buggy Bath Car Wash on North Broadway. Come watch the smoke fly!
Then Cruise Night will be from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Gentry Street.
A Car Show will take place Saturday, May 2 from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.in the parking lot north of the Checotah First Free Will Baptist Church at 713 N Broadway.
On Saturday, May 2 get ready to watch Street Racing! The Battle at Big Elk Creek will be one big competition this year at the Checotah Sports Complex. Bring your family and your lawn chair and head out to the sports complex to watch a day full of drag racing on North Broadway Street.
