Summer is here, and we have many programs and activities to keep your kids busy this summer! Patrons of all ages can register for Beanstack at eols. beanstack.org, the platform we use to record how many minutes you read. We will hand out prizes for each 100 minutes read beginning May 27. You can claim your prize at the circulation desk at Eufaula Memorial Library. We will also put your name in a drawing for the grand prize. The drawing will be on the last day of July.
We have Summer Reading calendars available at the circulation desk. Come by and pick one up today! You can also find our events online at eols.org/events.
On Thursday, May 22, we will have a computer basics class from 5-7 p.m. A certified teacher from Kiamichi Technology Center will teach the class. The class is free, and Chromebooks will be provided, or you can bring your laptop.
On Monday, May 26, the library will be closed in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday. As always, you can still access our online apps like Libby and Hoopla.
The Friends of Eufaula Memorial Library (FEML) are looking for new members to join and continue to help build the library. The next meeting is Friday, June 20, at 1:00 p.m. Molly Hutchins will speak on the Battle of Honey Springs’ role in the Civil War. Contact President Gail Rose at member.FEML@gmail. com to join.
Please visit and follow us on Facebook or visit our website at eols.org/ eufaula for other events and activities.
