When the school year comes around it’s tough to find sponsors to help support different programs to bring recognition to area student athletes. However that hasn’t been the case as of late with Zach McQuay of Zach McQuay Construction. McQuay has been so helpful in sponsoring the Impact Players of the Week column in both the Eufaula Indian Journal and McIntosh County Democrat newspapers.

When student-athletes see themselves in the Players of the Week column, it brings excitement not only to the student but their families, coaches and programs.

Recently the Eufaula Chamber of Commerce has taken over the annual Whole Hawg Days Rodeo, (Eufaula Rodeo) which used to be the Eufaula Round-Up Club Rodeo.

There are construction needs at the fairground and McQuay has offered to help fix problems that may exist along with others to bring back the rodeo like it was in the glory days. This is a wonderful event that brings in fans and participants from across the Mid-South. I appreciate McQuay and others like him that take part in supporting our communities and the many programs that bring recognition to so many of our students and sporting programs.
