Library News

Spring is in the air and the days are getting longer. We are open Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. until noon.

Thursday, March 20 at 2 p.m. book club for adults meets to discuss the book Night Road by Kristen Hannah. You can pick up a copy at the front desk. It is also available on the Libby app. Don’t have a chance to read the book? You are still invited to come for a good discussion, a light snack, and get a copy of the next book.

Monday, March 24 adults can make a Spring wreath at 5:30 p.m. You must register for this event at eols.org/ events. Space is limited. The cost for this event is $4 for the supplies.

For children and teens, we will have STEAM Break again this year during the school break.

All these programs are free and all the materials will be provided.

• Monday, March 17 Icecream in a bag 1-2 p.m.

• Tuesday, March 18 cup stacking 1-2 p.m.

• Wednesday, March 19 balloon raisers 1-2 p.m.

• Thursday, March 20 splat art 12:30 p.m.1:30 p.m.

• Friday, March 21 make a catapult 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.

Friday, March 14 from 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. children of all ages can come to build a leprechaun trap. After you have built your trap, we will place them in the library to catch Lenny the Leprechaun. This program is free and all the materials will be provided.

The Friends of Eufaula Memorial Library (FEML) are looking for new members to join and continue to help build the library. The next meeting is Friday, March. 21 at 1:00 pm. The Muskogee Public Library’s Genealogy Department will do a workshop on researching your ancestors. Contact president Gail Rose at member.FEML@gmail.com to join.
