DEATH NOTICES

CHECOTAH – Kathy Johnson, 73, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025. No services scheduled at this time.

CHECOTAH -Hoover Herbert Jones, 93, slipped the bonds of this earthly realm unto eternity, Sunday, February 16, 2025 in St. Francis Health System, Muskogee, OK; surrounded by family.

WARNER – Kenneth Leroy Hodges, 78, passed away February 18, 2025 at Saint Francis Hospital in Muskogee, OK. Funeral Services were held Thursday, February 27 in the Student Union Ballroom at Connors State College, Warner, OK.

MUSKOGEE – Mary Louise Lewis Kimbrell, 76, passed away on February 20, 2025. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 25 at Community Gospel Center in Fort Gibson, OK.

CHECOTAH – Michael Lewis Turner, 82, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 in Muskogee, OK.

EUFAULA – Kimberly Kay Wise, 64, passed from this life on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at her home in Eufaula, OK.

EUFAULA – Michael Anthony Brillo, 68, died Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Muskogee, OK. Graveside services were held Friday, February 28, 2025 at Fields Cemetery.

COUNCIL HILL -Opal Ophildia Zook, 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025. A memorial service celebrating her life was held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel.

HANNA -Arnoldo Amadeo Tapia Sr., 84 ,passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

COUNCIL HILL – Randy Bunch, 67, passed away February 25, 2025. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, March 8 at 11 a.m. at Council Hill Cemetery, 5555 Council Hill Rd. Afterwards a Family Conducted Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Council Hill Community Center at 105 S. Broadway.

CHECOTAH – Bobby Joe Frame II, 65, peacefully left this life on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, in Muskogee, OK, surrounded by his loving family. A Church Service was held Monday, March 3 at Checotah Church of Christ.

EUFAULA -Willie Mae Wilkerson, 69, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025. No services scheduled at this time.

EUFAULA – Bobby Lee Cooper, 74, passed from this life on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at his home.

CHECOTAH -Kristina Marie Wilbanks, 51, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025, in Oklahoma City, OK. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 29 from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Eufaula Indian Community Center.

ENTERPRISE – Ellis Marie Denny, 81, passed away March 2, 2025 in her home in Enterprise, OK. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 8 at 10 a.m. at Shiloh Assembly of God Church.
