A poem on unity

I recently wrote this poem titled Unity. I hope you enjoy it. There is too much division and not enough unity in the world. Fortunately, when living in a small town the community is more unified and that’s why I enjoy living in Eufaula. Hopefully this will touch some hearts and unify us even more. 1-2-3 break.

Why are we so infatuated with skin of color The Bible never mentions this or no other We are not to judge this or their Creed For it is God’s judgment of this Deed Without the wrapping- we are all made Of flesh, blood and bone Violence or discrimination be not condone We are brothers and sisters of earth From old age and adolescence to birth Our memories and actions long like fate As long as our hearts carry not ill hate
