Jazmine Shaneen Roberts, 30, who has been charged with abandoning a pet dog and other crimes, pleaded guilty to the charges in district court Wednesday, Dec. 24.

Roberts, an Enid resident, was charged with abandoning a dog at the residence of an acquaintance on Aug. 30.

She fled law enforcement and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

While on the run, she was arrested and charged on Oct. 22 with possession of a stolen vehicle, receiving/concealing stolen property and resisting an officer.

Associate District Judge Brendon Bridges gave her a one-year deferred sentence on the dog abandonment charge to run concurrently with sentencing on all other charges.

Those sentences include: – five years deferred, plus court costs plus two years of district attorney supervision.

– one year deferred plus court costs for receiving/ concealing stolen property and for resisting arrest.
