SEMINOLE – In an effort to support the local community and provide warmth to those in need this winter, Canadian Valley Electric Cooperatives CVECares organization, made of CVEC volunteer employees, recently organized a successful winter clothing drive.

Employees and members of the community generously donated winter items such as coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and blankets.

These essential items were then delivered to Mama’s Christ Van, an organization dedicated to helping homeless individuals in Seminole.

The impact of this donation is expected to be significant, providing much-needed warmth to homeless men, women, and children in the area during the harsh winter months.

The drive exemplifies Canadian Valley Electric’s commitment to giving back to the communities they serve and helping to create a positive, supportive environment for all.

“Giving back to those in need is at the heart of who we are as a cooperative.” said Lora Schiltz, CVECares spokesperson. “We are proud to partner with Mama’s Christ Van to provide warmth and comfort to our most vulnerable neighbors.
