Award-winning quartet brings Christmas cheer to LECC

A musical traveling mission group that has shared the message of Christ throughout the nation will present “The Reason for the Season” at Lake Eufaula Christian Church’s 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday, Dec. 15.

The public is invited to hear The Texans, whose performances raise funds to develop, provide, and distribute resources for missionaries around the world.

The offering this Sunday will help The Texans International Ministries continue its support of Jesus-oriented organizations.

They are proud supporters of The Kiamichi Mountains Christian Mission, World Mission Builders, Pro Sound Advice Ministry, Living Water Ministries, and Mission of Hope.

“For the past few weeks, we at LECC have been affirming how we are all missionaries,” said Pastor Jeremy Little. “Having The Texans is the perfect illustration of that study.”

Their gospel concert challenges listeners to ‘be doers of the word, and not hearers only” (James 1:22) because “a doer that acts shall be blessed in his doing.” (James 1:25) Since organizing in 1971, the Texans have been blessed with dozens of awards, including several Ozark Music Awards “Group of the Year,” Branson Entertainers of the Year, and STGMA’S Quartet of the Year. In 1999 they became a full-time traveling ministry performing more than 300 concerts a year.

See them this Sunday at 11 a.m. at Lake Eufaula Christian Church at 415987 Highway 9.

Come earlier for coffee and donuts or even earlier for small group Bible study at 10 a.m.
