Every year around this time, Texanna Lady Crafters enjoy participating in holiday events and activities.

We recently did some toy shopping for two of our favorite toy drives. We purchased toys for Texanna Elves, sponsored by LaDonna McKay, owner of La-Donna’s Quilt shop on Texanna Road. Purchased toys also went to Santa’s Soldiers in Eufaula, sponsored by Erin Bridges.

We also donated money to La Donna for her food pantry, located at her quilt shop.

At our November business meeting, Cheryl Wilkerson and Mindy Vincent from Back Pack Buddies were surprised with a donation from us. They were very appreciative because this time of year they send home extra food to the Back Pack program families for the holidays.

The Eufaula Library was recently renovated, and TLC was thrilled to facilitate the purchase of two large activity boards for the children’s area. Amanda Grantham, the Eufaula Library Branch Manager spoke at a TLC meeting about the library’s renovation costs and received the donation on the library’s behalf.

The Eufaula Manor has been scheduled for some Christmas caroling by several of our members, starting on Tuesday, Dec. 3. On Black Friday and Saturday (Nov. 29 and 30) and again on Dec.13 and 14, we will be offering Christmas gift wrapping for a donation. However, whatever you buy from TLC will be gift wrapped for free.

TLC items are all handmade, mostly from generous donations.
