Prayer is direct, two way, honest communication with God that requires us to speak and to listen. James teaches us in James 1:6 – “must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.”

The Psalms tell us that we also must be still and willing to hear in Psalm 46:10.

God will speak – it may not be audible – but He will touch your spirit through His Holy Spirit. God desires to make Himself known to you but are you willing to hear and do what He says?

Talk to God and wait on His response. Remember that God will never direct you in a way that contradicts His Word. I believe that many of the answers we seek have already been given in the Bible. As you study the Bible, you will learn to hear God better.

Trunk or Treat at First Baptist Church will be Thursday, October 31 from 4-6 p.m. We invite all our community families to come by and trick or treat in a safe, fun environment.
