Sometimes it takes a village, or a team, to achieve a goal.

I recently had to have total hip revision surgery due to it dislocating four times.

I’m very fortunate to have wonderful friends like Checotah A.D. Jason Dowdy, Eufaula softball coach Ryan Green, Checotah softball coach Levi Walker, Eufaula head football coach Larry Newton, Checotah head football coach Zac Ross, Eufaula softball coach Ryan Green and Checotah softball coach Levi Walker. I also appreciate Serina Davis and Fred Francis, warriors behind the lens, who I am also privileged to call my friends. They are all part of our village who help make our weekly paper possible.

Their support, messages and friendship are important to me.

I take pride in my job and the product we produce.

It is this team that guarantees that our Mc-Intosh County Sports Section is complete for our local newspapers, our athletes and our community.
