Library News
By AMANDA GRANTHAM BRANCH MANAGER

The Eufaula Memorial Library is temporarily closed for repairs and mold removal, but we have programs and library services at the Eufaula Community Center. While we are at the Community Center you can check books in and out, and use Chromebooks. The meeting room at the library is now open for programs. Follow us on Facebook for any updates.

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month! During September, Jim Lucas Library in Checotah and Eufaula Memorial Library will compete to win the Golden Book. Each new card application received will be worth one point. Both libraries can earn additional points by donating canned, nonperishable food items. The Library with the most points will house the Golden Book for the year. If you already have a library card, you can donate canned food items. All donations will go to local food missions.

You can check out ebooks, audiobooks, movies, and music through the Libby or Hoopla app. If you are not using them now would be a great time to try them out! Come to the Community Center and have one of our friendly staff members assist you.

Friends of Eufaula Memorial Library (FEML) is looking for new members to join and continue to help build the library. Their next monthly program luncheon is at 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 20. Contact President Gail Rose at member.FEML@gmail.com to join.

Please visit and follow us on Facebook or visit our website at eols.org/ eufaula for other events and activities.

Amanda Grantham is the branch manager of Eufaula Memorial Library, a branch of the Eastern Oklahoma Library System.
