Timothy Joseph Mayhar, 41, of Eufaula, pled guilty last week to multiple charges stemming from his arrest on June 17.

Special Judge Brian McLaughlin of McAlester sentenced Mayhar to almost 10 years in prison, including five years for DUI, two for placing body fluid on a government employee, one for leaving the scene of an accident involving damage, six months for threatening to perform an act of violence and one year for acts resulting in gross injury.

All sentences are to run concurrently.

Mayhar was arrested following an alleged hit-and-run incident at Xtreme RV Resort.

According to arresting officer Michael Harris, the suspect ran into the rear of a 2011 Chevy Equinox containing three juveniles at about 7:30 p.m.

The juveniles stated the suspect appeared to be drunk and was belligerent as he left the scene in a green Mini Cooper, according to a Probable Cause Affidavit.

Minutes later Police Chief David Bryning stopped the vehicle near the Pavilion in the cove.

Harris reported that Mahar smelled of alcohol and refused to be tested on the scene.

The officer transported the suspect to the county jail and Mahar spewed a series of obscenities and threats and at one point spat on him.
