Rentiesville Blues Festival No. 34 Aug. 30 – Sept. 1

Fifty bands, including groups from seven states, will provide a rich showcase of “All the bands are great!” said Selby Minner, who has hosted the event for decades.

Gates open at 4 p.m. each day.

Several bands will perform in the club in air-conditioned comfort at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. before the outdoor stages fire up at 6 ‘til midnight.

Headliners come inside and play again after midnight.

Zac Harmon – just returned from Europe and with a new CD about to be released – will play the main stage a 10 p.m. and then after hours around 1 a.m. in the time worn Juke Joint that is the Down-Home Blues Club.

Sunday IBC (International Blues Challenge) 2024 winners on the Main Stage, Piper and the Hard Times! They are on their way from back east to play at the Big Blues Bender Festival in Las Vegas.

Also, the man nominated for the most Blues Foundation Awards – and winner of several Watermelon Slim!

Saturday’s Main Stage will bring Wichita’s Main McMann and many others.
