Eufaula edges Checotah in fast-pitch scrimmage

The Checotah Lady Wildcats and Eufaula Lady Ironheads will have to wait a little longer as rain forced delays on Oklahoma high school softball games Monday. Eufaula tops Checotah in scrimmage action Tuesday 6-2.

Kate Pippenger and Maddie Ballard each hit home runs in the game. Freshman Leah Green started as pitcher for Eufaula. Green threw 14 strikeouts. Kadie Jo Tidwell made 15 plays.

The Wildcats were not without some highlights of their own as Sidney Hamilton, Hailey Prince, Kora Hal and others had a great day at the plate and in the infield. Aurora Madewell slammed a pitch for a homerun for the Wildcats.
