Attorney/judge speaks to FLEAS members

The FLEAS July monthly meeting was full of feathers and pink.

The theme was flamingos. The decorations were beautiful and creative with tablecloths edged with a flamingo motif. Our hostesses were Trish Drake, Beverly Holly, Dottie Krebbs and Michelle Buck. The door prizes were gift cards! Excellent job, ladies!

Our guest speaker was Debra Hackler and her message was estate planning. Debra is an attorney from McAlester as well as a municipal judge. She gave us so much important information about the difference between handwritten wills, notarized wills, trusts and revocable trusts. Debra expressed the need for a Power of Attorney to protect your assets and health care. She also advised having an Advance Directive for health care. We came away with so much new knowledge! Thank you, Debra!

The theme for our August meeting is western. If you want to celebrate your inner cowgirl, think about joining us August 27th at the VFW @10:30. We are a social club wanting to help women find new friends. If you are interested, call Kay Rogers, 405-202-9874. Hope to see you there!
