Lake Eufaula is quickly becoming the mecca of fishing tournaments. And not just any old fishing tournaments but organizations like Major League Fishing and Bassmaters. Eufaula City Manager Jeb Jones along with the Lake Eufaula Association other organizations and businesses have done an outstanding job of promoting Lake Eufaula.

Eufaula has hosted over 20 fishing tournaments this year alone and along with the increased traffic comes extra business to our local stores and lodging which translates to increased tax revenue.

The Bassmasters just finished up Saturday and each fisherman applauded the residents and how the businesses made them feel at home.

It is important that our citizens, businesses and city have embraced this economic resource and welcome the opportunity to build on it further.
