Serina Kleveter will be the speaker at the upcoming luncheon for the Friends of Eufaula Memorial Library.

Kleveter is the executive director of the Eufaula Area Chamber of Commerce, which has served this area for 75 years.

The $6 luncheon will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 21, at the library’s Follansbee Room.

You do not have to be a Friends’ member to attend.

Kleveter was a Chamber volunteer before becoming director three years ago. She said volunteers are always needed for a variety of tasks.

The Chamber’s website has a page devoted to Chamber Ambassadors. They are needed for serving on welcoming committees, helping with membership campaigns, and advocating for the Chamber at community events.

More than 200 businesses belong to the Chamber which promotes events that enhance the Lake Eufaula area. The goal is to further the interests of local businesses.

Attendees at the June 21 Friends’ luncheon will have an opportunity to consult with Kleveter about becoming a Chamber Ambassador.

Also, if you are not already a member of Friends of the Library, it is only $5 yearly dues to become one.
