State Representative Dist. 15

Political Party: Republican Hometown: Duncan Current Town: Longtown Education: Highschool, vocational training and bible college Age: 68 1. Have you ever failed to pay any taxes or court ordered judgements?

Yes

2. Have you ever been convicted of a felony? No

What are the top three messages of your campaign?

1. I will not take any lobbyist money, PAC money or Special Interest money.

2. I will stay in abstinance of things that corrupt our elected officials.

3. I will restore conservative representation to District 15.

What are the top three most pressing issues facing rural Oklahoma? How would you address these issues if elected?

1. Education: To retain good teachers I would change the formula of the Teachers Retirement System (TRS) so they want to stay here.

2. Mental Health: SE OK needs a mental health facility. I would propose to have one put here.

3. Economy: I would propose to put together a panel of leading business people to lay the ground work for property for our district. The Economic Panel would have full disclosure and transparency to our population.

Explain your positions on economic development as it pertains to rural Oklahoma in general and Eastern Oklahoma in particular.

Economic Development in Eastern Rural Oklahoma has a 3 pring approach. (1) Promote our natural resources and tourism. (2) Our agriculture economy can be stimulated by becoming a supply sourece for much of Oklahoma. (3) Manufacturing and technology should be enhanced through a panel of business leaders bringing a new segment of economic growth to the SE.

Further Explanation of Question #1 over financial matter: Over 30 years ago my son was killed in an oil fiel related accident. Unfortunately, I carried a lot of guilt about it and our lives became a wreck in all aspects including finances. It took time but all taxes were paid after negotiations with the IRS in OKC. our financial position today and credit rating is considered excellent by FICO. I just wanted to be transparent about a devastating event we all went through in the early 90’s. Our excellent position has been maintained for the last 20 plus years.
