Oklahoma vs. Texas showdown set for new kickoff time

The storied Red River Rivalry between Oklahoma and Texas is scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. showdown on October 12 at the iconic Cotton Bowl, the Sooners and Longhorns are set to continue their long standing rivalry under the new banner of the SEC.

The forthcoming matchup at the Cotton Bowl will be the 120th meeting in the rivalry’s history but marks the first occasion the two teams compete as members of the SEC. Texas leads the all-time headto- head record with 63 wins, 51 losses, and five draws. During their time in the Big 12, Oklahoma had the upper hand, securing 18 victories in 29 encounters.
