GAIL JACKSON, candidate for State House District 15

GAIL JACKSON, candidate for State House District 15
By Gail Jackson,

I was born in Tulsa and have many cherished memories of visiting the Eufaula area to spend time with family and friends of my grandparents. My maternal great-grandparents are laid to rest at Mellette. After retiring, having spent over 25 years as a weekender in Eufaula, I made Eufaula my permanent home.

With B.S.B.A. degrees in Marketing and Accounting, I dedicated years of service to the petroleum industry, having worked for The Williams Companies, IBM, and ONEOK. I taught Petroleum and Fundamentals of Accounting courses at Tulsa Community College as an adjunct professor.

Upon settling in Eufaula, I promptly engaged with the community by registering with the election board and subsequently becoming a dedicated poll worker for over a decade. I have diligently served in every election, across almost every polling site in the county, having received training for every poll position and early voting responsibilities. This initial step into community service paved the way for further involvement with organizations such as Team Up, City of Eufaula events, Chamber of Commerce activities, and other local initiatives. Attending city council meetings became a regular commitment as well, embodying my commitment to preserving American community values through commitment and volunteerism.

Four years ago, recognizing the need for accessible tax services, I spearheaded the establishment of the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide free tax service in Eufaula, catering to the needs of this community and its neighboring areas as a volunteer.

Currently, I proudly serve as a Board member of Vivian Rural Water District #6. Additionally, I was appointed to the Oklahoma Broadband board two years ago upon its establishment and have remained actively engaged by advocating for local cooperatives’ infrastructure and connectivity enhancements. My efforts in lobbying the Broadband board are aimed to ensure that all grant money remains within the state, prioritizing the funding of local cooperatives’ infrastructure to guarantee fiber broadband internet service to every rural home.

I am honored to be a member of the First Families of the Twin Territories organization, an Oklahoma Genealogy Society recognition.

My unwavering focus has always been on the well-being of the citizens of Eufaula, and if elected as your House Representative, this dedication will extend to all municipalities and rural areas within District 15.

Upholding conservative values such as election integrity, religious freedom, and honoring our veterans is fundamental to my approach. I am deeply invested in addressing key issues raised in community forums, particularly strengthening municipal government and addressing Tribal concerns.

Transparency and accessibility between the Capitol and constituents of District 15 will be ensured through regular community meetings and a commitment to addressing local infrastructure needs.

My platform is shaped solely by the needs and concerns of the people, free from the influence of lobbyists, consultants, or campaign donations. Your interests, as constituents of District 15, are my sole focus, not agendas driven by financial interests.

Vote for Gail Jackson on June 18 to have a dedicated advocate as YOUR House District 15 Representative.
