DEATH NOTICES

COUNCIL HILL – Judy Ann McCurdy, 81, entered Heaven on Thursday, April 25, 2024. A Celebration of Life was held June 1 at Garrett Funeral Home & Cremation in Checotah, Oklahoma.

QUINTON – Charles Kenneth “Kenny” Sills Jr., 50, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at his home in Quinton, Oklahoma. A family conducted memorial service will take place Saturday, July 27 at 1 p.m. at Quinton Community Center.

QUINTON – Charles “Charlie” Kenneth Sills, Sr., 70, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024 at his home in Quinton, Oklahoma. A friend and family gathering will take place Saturday, June 8 from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Quinton Community Center.

EUFAULA – Debra Kay Hammet, 65, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024. A memorial service was held Wednesday, May 29 at Eufaula Church of Christ in Eufaula, Oklahoma.

FT. GIBSON – Debbie Kay (McFall) Nofire, 54, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, at Cornerstone Specialty Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma. A memorial service was held on Friday, May 31 at the Hunn Funeral Home Chapel in Checotah.

CHECOTAH – Roy Earl Rogers, 78, entered heaven’s gates, on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. Services celebrating the life of Roy were held on Wednesday, June 5 in the Checotah Public Schools Performing Arts Center in Checotah, Oklahoma.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Darrell Gene Cook, 57, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024. Services are pending at this time.

EUFAULA – Laurie Elizabeth Dacus, 71, passed away on May 31, 2024, at her home in Eufaula, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 7 at 10 a.m. at Lindsey Chapel Baptist Church.

CHECOTAH – Bobby (Bob) Gene Hogan, 96, passed away peacefully in his home in Checotah, Oklahoma on Saturday, June 1, 2024. A private graveside service for the family will be held Friday, June 7, at 11 a.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery in Checotah. A Family and Friends Gathering will be held at First Baptist Church, Checotah at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary.

EUFAULA – Larry Alan Dacus, 77, passed away on June 2, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 7 at 10 a.m. at Lindsey Chapel Baptist Church.

CHECOTAH – Betty May Todd, 81, entered Heaven’s gates on Sunday, June 2, 2024. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 6 at 10 a.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Checotah, Oklahoma.
