Eufaula Lady Ironheads finish 11th overall in State tournament
By Rodney Haltom sports EDITOR,

The Eufaula Lady Ironheads continue to excel in golf as they finished 11th overall in the Class 3A State Golf Tournament at Lincoln Park Golf course in Oklahoma City. Tahlequah Sequoyah won the team title with a 686.

Megan Kalapura of Holland Hall won with a 145 total and a five-shot victory. The Lady Ironheads shot a 381 for a total of 784.

Eufaula senior Gracie-Jane Lasiter led Eufaula in individual scoring shooting 88-81-169. Lasiter finished 12th overall. Eufaula head golf coach Jerad Efurd has to be pleased with how this young team competed against some of the best golfers in the state.

Eufaula individual scores are as follows; Rhyatt Dunn 96-105—201, Rylee McNeill 111-95—206, Jadence Efurd 108-100—208, Gracie Burke 121-126—247.

“We had a great season. It didn’t end how we wanted it to, but I was very proud of the grit and perseverance these young ladies have. I have told them all year that you are only guaranteed two days in your life, the day you were born and the day you die and the dash in between is what you make of it. They didn’t shoot their best the first day but buckled down the second day and shot a lot better. I can’t say enough about Seniors Gracie Jane Lasiter and Rhyatt Dunn; they both had an impact on the success of our team and will be sorely missed,” Eufaula head coach Jerad Efurd said.
