Eufaula Lady Ironheads golf team punch ticket to State
By Rodney Haltom sports EDITOR,

The 2024 Eufaula Lady Ironhead golf team continues the long tradition of producing great golfers and making the state tournament. Wednesday was no different as the Lady Ironheads punched their ticket to the state tournament with a second place finish in the OSSAA 3A Regional Tournament.

Lone Grove won the tournament with a score of 349, Eufaula second with 370 and Heritage Hall rounded out the top three with a score of 380.

“I’m so proud of this team. They have really applied themselves and put in the time on the golf course to get better. We have a solid chance at finishing among the top teams and were looking forward to the challenge. I especially want to thank coach Bill Bumgarner and Richard Belcher for their help this season. Their hard work does not go unnoticed,” Eufaula head golf coach Jerad Efurd said.
