Ironheads runs to success at Mounds Track Meet

The Eufaula Ironheads track team had a successful day at the Mounds Track Meet on Thursday. Eufaula head coach Larry Newton saw his athletes compete at a high level in multiple events.

“It was a great day for the Eufaula Ironheads. These kids have worked hard and you can see that in today’s results. This is a young team that competed against some great schools and great athletes and held their own. Our goal is to get better with each event and we’ve been doing that. I’m very proud of everyone,” Newton said.

Results for the Eufaula Track Team: Girls 4×200 relay: 4th place- Emma Lovett, Heidi Singleton, Kelsey Burns, Abby Charleton Girls 200m: 2nd place – Abby Charleton, 3rd place- Emma Lovett Girls 400m: 2nd place -Abby Charleton Girls 800m: 6th place-Kalyn Holman Girls 1600m: 5th place- Jule Schweda, 6th place- Kalyn Holman Girls 3200m: 3rd place- Jule Schweda Girls High Jump: 5th place- Burkleigh Lange Boys 100m: 4th place-Ledger Folsom Boys 200m: 3rd place-Maddox Bridges Boys 400m: 3rd place-Ty Sparks Boys 800m: 7th Richie Beaver Boys High Jump: 5th place- Dacen Hunter Boys 300m Hurdles: 4th place – Dacen Hunter Shot put: 1st place-Jason Hill, 3rd place-Simeon Hill Boys 4×100 relay: 3rd place- Ledger Folsom, Maddox Bridges, Ty Sparks, Peter Lee Jr.
