Lowell Rudy Terry, 79, of Checotah, passed away on March 21, 2024 at his home. Lowell was born on Feb. 12, 1945, in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Rudy and Elsie (Oliver) Terry. He graduated from Del City High School in 1962.
Lowell served in the United States Navy from 1962 – 1968.
In 1976, he married Peggy Lou Brewer. They were married for 37 years, before she preceded him in death in 2015.
Lowell worked at Custom Seating for 20 years. He later owned and operated a lawn business for many years.
Survivors include, grandsons: Kyle Keplinger, and wife Alissa and Tyler Keplinger; four great-grandchildren: Asher, Cash, Isabella, and Kason; niece: Charidy Russell and husband Rowdy; and one brother-in-law, Zack Hays. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rudy and Elsie Terry; his wife, Peggy Lou (Brewer) Terry; and siblings, Gloria and Joe.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements were made with Hunn Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
