F.L.E.A.S. March Meeting

F.L.E.A.S. March Meeting

The theme of the March meeting was Easter. Jan Krieger, Janis Davis and Karen Willoby were our hostesses. They did a lovely job of decorating the room with flowers, bunnies, Easter eggs, candy and much more. We had one guest and one new member. Welcome! The door prizes were beautiful flowering plants.

Our guest speaker was Ric Fornell. He has been the owner of the Eufaula Herb Shop for almost 22 years. His major presentation was a description of our digestive system. As we age, our digestive systems don’t work as efficiently, and Ric gave advice on supplements and eating habits. He also gave suggestions for help with arthritis, thin aging skin and diabetes.

During the meeting, Joyce McBee, historian, presented Kay Rogers, president, a scrapbook for 2023. The lovely book contains pictures, articles and memoirs of the events of the year. Starting this year, instead of a scrapbook, all pictures will be posted on Facebook where all members can take a stroll down memory lane.

After lunch, some ladies participated in crafts creating darling Easter decorations.

The Irene Van Sandt scholarship applications are due April 15. We are looking for to choosing a deserving senior for this scholarship.

Our next meeting is April 23. We welcome all visitors. We meet at The VFW Highway 9, Eufaula.

If you are interested call Kay Rogers at 405202-9874. If you want to see more about the group, go to Facebook page F.L.E.A.S. 2023+. Social hour 10:0011:00, guest and meeting 11:00-12:00. Lunch is $12.00 ,12:00-12:30. Hope to see some new faces
