Linda Louise Cantwell

Dec. 7, 1960 – March 12, 2024

Linda Louise Cantwell, 63, of McAlester, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in her home. Linda was born Dec. 7, 1960, at St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Floyd Eldon and Florence Otillia (Luber) Tabor. She graduated from Nathan Hale High School in Tulsa in 1979. Linda also graduated from Tulsa Community College and Tulsa VoTech Surgical Technology program in 1994 with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science. Linda married Troy Wayne Cantwell on February 22, 1992. Linda and Wayne did traveling nursing for many years before purchasing a home in the McAlester, Oklahoma area.

They have been residents of the McAlester area going on 24 years. Linda enjoyed skiing, hiking, gardening, sewing and working outdoors on the homestead. Linda attended the Muskogee Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include: her husband, Wayne Cantwell, of the home; brothers Kenneth Tabor of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Donald Tabor and wife Lynn of San Diego, California and Mark Tabor and wife Gretchen of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; sisters, Patricia McCurry and husband Terry of Toccoa, Georgia, Debbie Rodgers and husband David of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Nancy Sullenger and husband Marvin of Osage, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Florence Tabor.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, March 24, 2024, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Muskogee with Pastor Fred Rogers, Pastor Rudy Juarez and husband Wayne Cantwell officiating.

Services are under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hbmfuneralhome. com.
