Biden leads Democrats

Former President Donald J. Trump sailed to an easy victory in the March 5 preferential election, when political parties chose the person they wanted to represent them in the November presidential election.

In McIntosh County, Trump received 1,550 Republican votes, or 90.38 percent. Statewide, he received 254,373 votes, 81.83 percent.

President Joseph R. Biden Jr. received 409 Democratic votes in the county, or 51 percent. Statewide, he received 66,824, or 72.98 percent.
