County GOP news
By LYNELLE MEDLEY CHAIRMAN,

It’s almost time for us to resume our normal meeting schedule now that precinct meetings and county convention are out of the way, although don’t forget we have district convention coming up on April 13th in Pryor as well as State Convention on May 3rd-4th in the OKC area. If somehow you did not get to be a delegate and would like to attend the State Convention, please text us at 918.617.6124 so we can see if we can get you included on the delegate list.

The March 19 meeting location of McIntosh County GOP has changed. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at VFW Post 8798 (2100 Ok-9) in Eufaula. We will be hosting Charles Key, author of the compelling book, “Stolen Government” in which he describes why our legislators cannot properly represent “We the People.” Key’s book also details a solution for this problem and after many years of experience in the state legislature he was able to present the answers to many of your most common questions on this subject.

You will not want to miss what Charles has to say! He has a solution for the people and we need to get behind him and work on getting it either on a ballot for a vote or through the legislature. We will also have one or two local candidates on hand for a Q&A session.

In April our regular meeting will be on April 18th — please note the day change, our meetings will start being on the third Thursday each month going forward. Our guest speaker will be Amanda Hills-Dodson who will be speaking on how We the People can become involved in holding our elected officials and those in authority within the Oklahoma Department of Health and Human Services and Child Protective Services accountable for their treatment of the State’s most vulnerable population, our children. We have always known it would be the protection of the children that would bring all of us together as one. We will also have a couple of local and possibly state candidate speakers on hand to answer your questions as well.

Last but not least is our first annual McIntosh County GOP Golf Scramble — please text if you are interested in more information. We are giving away over $8500 in prizes plus serving some amazing BBQ.
