Eufaula steamrolls Morris Eagles 58-34
By RODNEY HALTOM SPORTS EDITOR The Eufaula Iron-heads received a huge game from Jentry James,

as he led the Ironheads to a 58-34 victory in the Class 3A Boys Area IV consolation bracket in Chandler on Thursday.

It was a tight ballgame in the first period as it ended with Morris up 8-7. But the second period was all Eufaula as they took command of the ball game, outscoring Morris 16-3 with Draven Gragg ruling the paint for the Ironheads.

The big story was Jentry James.

“Jentry got his cast off this morning. He then came off the bench and hit three three-point buckets and scored 12 points with five rebounds and four steals to spark us. Maddox Bridges finished with 16 points and Draven Gragg was huge for us down low with 11 points and ten rebounds,” Eufaula head coach Rob McKinzie said.

The Ironheads never let off the gas as they outscored Morris 32-10 the next two periods before scoring 19 points in the fourth to seal the 5834 victory.

Maddox Bridges led Eufaula with 16 points, James 12 points, Gragg 11 points and Ty Sparks four points.

On Friday Heritage Hall ended Eufaula’s (11-14) season with a 61-45 victory. Heritage Hall led just 16-13 to end the first period but the Ironheads played with intensity in the second period outscoring their opponents 12-6 to go into the halftime break with a 25-22 lead. The Ironheads struggled in the second half as Heritage forced numerous turnovers as they outscored Eufaula 20-6 in the third period and 39-19 in the second half to end Eufaula’s season.

Maddox Bridges scored 17 points for the Ironheads while Keaton Parish had seven, Jentry James nine and Draven Gragg added five points in the loss.
