Women Empowering Women Health Luncheon Feb. 24
By Shauna Belyeu General Manager,

Ladies, get ready to be inspired at the 2nd annual Women Empowering Women Health Luncheon which will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24.

Over 200 women attended the event last year hosted by the Eufaula Chamber of Commerce and it is time for it again.

“We are very excited to host this event again this year. It is our goal to inspire, educate and recognize the strong women in our community and bring them together in this venue,” Executive Director Serina Kleveter said.

Attendees will be treated to a light lunch catered by I Smell Bacon and dessert will be provided by Nichols Market Bakery.

Local businesses will present a fashion show, showcasing the latest fashions available here in the community as everyone anticipates new spring arrivals.

This year’s speaker will be Rachel McKinzie D.O.

Dr. McKinzie started her education at Oklahoma Christian University with a strong passion for helping families. She obtained a degree in psychology before attending Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Dr. McKinzie gravitated toward Anesthesiology and completed her residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

After practicing for five years, she learned that many patients were neglecting their own health to take care of others. At that time, she not only regained her passion for exercise and self-care but also began a business in health and nutrition counseling. Through that business, she identified a need for those who were unable to achieve the exact results they desired – no matter how hard they worked. That is where her passion for aesthetics came in.

For the past five years, she has been practicing in both fields of medicine but in March when her husband was hired by Eufaula Public Schools as the head boys’ basketball coach she took this as a time to reorganize her priorities and love for her kids and is a semi-stay at home mom. She is mom to Adi, a senior at Eufaula High School, and Austin who is an eighth grader.

Also new this year, the chamber would like to recognize those women that the community has lost. A tribute will be read for each of the women that have passed in 2023. Family members from each person will be asked to stand in honor of them as their names are read.

Make plans to come down to eat, learn and support one another at this special luncheon.

The event is free to the public. For more information, please contact the Eufaula Area Chamber of Commerce at 918.689.2791.
