Green Run March 16

It is time to lace up your shoes and start stretching as the 3rd annual Green Run approaches.

This year’s 3rd Annual Eufaula Green Run 5K will be held at 9 a.m. on March 16.

Lake Country Fitness and Nutrition is hosting the event which will kick off at Xtreme RV Amphitheater on Lakeshore Drive. The USATF Certified 5K course will run along the shore of Lake Eufaula.

Pull out your green because it will be a festive Patrick’s Day event as a sea of green runners head out around Lakeshore Drive. Even if you’re not a runner, the event is the perfect time to get out of the house and kick off the beginning of the spring season.

Runners are encouraged to go all out in their outfits for the costume contest announced by DJ Roderick with TooBadd Productions which will be held at the amphitheater immediately filling the race.

In addition to the live music, there will be vendors and food for all guests.

Trophies will be awarded for first through third place for all age divisions.

Registration is due by March 1 to take advantage of the discounted registration fees. The first 250 registrants will get a free t-shirt. A table will be available for purchase the day of the event.

All proceeds are be-ing donated directly to the Homeless Outreach Program of Eufaula.
