Q and A with Pastor J.

“So, from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation” 2 Corinthians 5:1618.

Paul refers to a great truth, that as believers in Christ, we are not the same anymore. God begins a process when we receive Christ. This process involves the replacing of our old self with a new self.

This means that as Christians, we should live differently, speak differently, act differently and love differently. The Holy Spirit of God shapes us from the inside to make us more like Jesus and less like ourselves. This does not mean that we become instantly perfect, but we strive to be like Jesus who is perfect.
