Imagination Library event Feb. 6
By AMANDA GRANTHAM BRANCH MANAGER,

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is spreading across Oklahoma and coming to our community! Save the date for our launch event at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 6 at Eufaula Memorial Library.

During the launch party, families can enroll their children and then receive their first books. The reading program is a way to get books into the hands of children, ages birth to 5 years and help develop a love for reading early in life.

Friends of the Eufaula Memorial Library have partnered with East Central Electric Coop and the Checotah Chamber of Commerce to bring the reading initiative to McIntosh County.

The Friends of Eufaula Memorial Library (FEML) are having a book sale on February 10. The sale will open at 10 a.m. and will close at 5 p.m. or until they sell out. Come shop an assortment of books for children, teens, and adults.

The sale will also include audio CDs of books, DVDs, and board games. All proceeds from the sale will go toward the Summer Reading Program. We would like to thank FEML for organizing and coordinating this fundraiser for the library.

FEML is looking for new members to join and continue to help build the library. Their next monthly program luncheon is 11:30 a.m. Friday, February 16. Contact President Gail Rose at member. FEML@gmail.com to join.

Please visit and follow us on Facebook or visit our website at eols.org/ eufaula for other events and activities.

Amanda Grantham is branch manager of Eufaula Memorial Library, a branch of the Eastern Oklahoma Library System.
