The Checotah Impact Players of the Week are Elijah Thomas and Ruby Folkner. Checotah guard Elijah Thomas is a tremendous athlete who has a great vertical jump and speed. He has the ability to score from anywhere on the court. He can run down opponents defensively and his burst to the paint is fantastic. Thomas scored 18 points against Muldrow and 12 points against Roland and tallied six rebounds and seven steals on Friday.
The Checotah Lady Wildcats Impact Player of the Week is Ruby Folkner. Folkner has become a great shooter and rebounder. Don’t let her size fool you. She can battle anyone in the paint for a rebound. She does a good job of bringing the ball up court and setting up plays. She scored 16 points against Roland and 13 against Muldrow.
