The Checotah Wrestling program competed at the Inola Tournament this past week. The Wildcats brought 10 wrestlers and had several athletes place in the Top 10.

Placing for the Wildcats were as follows: Bobcat Phillips took 5th place at 106 Ben Payne took 6th place at 120 Colt Collett took 2nd place at 126 Keith McGuire took 6th at 132 Cy Hunt took 6th at 144 Jaydon Casey took 4th at 157 Woodrow Spears at 138, Mitchell Tanner 144, Jace Clark 150, & Jaxon Gearhart failed to place but had success winning matches. This was a two-day tournament with 32 wrestlers in a bracket “I felt our team wrestled really well. It gives us a sense of where we are at and where we need to be. But overall I’m very happy with our effort,” Checotah head coach Bret Oleson said.
