December Happenings!
December 19 the membership celebrated Christmas at The Barn. Members and their guests enjoyed a festive evening starting with appetizers, Christmas Song Trivia, entertainment by talented members and their spouses, an ugly sweater competition, gift exchange, and a fifty-fifty raffle.
The proceeds of the raffle will go to the Scholarship fund.
A yearly $2,000 Irene VanSandt scholarship is awarded to one student from either Eufaula, Checotah or Canadian High School.
A ham or pork chop dinner with all the sides was provided by the Eufaula VFW Post Axillary, followed by a variety of desserts made by the members.
The evening was relaxing, fun and the perfect ending to a productive year.
The January meeting will be a Founder’s Day celebration at the Eufaula VFW on Jan. 23, social hour starts at 10 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. business meeting, recognition of the Past F.L.E.A.S. Presidents and lunch.
