Checotah golfer Carter Stewart signs with NSU

Checotah senior standout golfer Carter Stewart made it official Thursday as he committed to play golf at Northeastern State University. Carter signed his letter of intent in front of family and friends at the Muskogee Country Club.

“I’m so proud of him. Tonight is a fine example of what type of young man he is. He has worked so hard to get to this point and we’re so happy for him and what the next chapter of his life brings,” Carter’s mother Dana Stewart said.

Carter is the son of Tex and Dana Stewart.
