If Thanksgiving is near, Christmas can’t be far behind

Parade of Lights Dec. 2

Join the Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree-themed Parade of Lights on Saturday, Dec. 2.

To participate in the parade, go to cdd@cityofeufaulaok. com or contact City Hall to register. An entry form must be filled out by each group or organization, even if there isn’t a float.

There can be only one Santa, who rides on a Eufaula fire truck at the end of the parade. Besides Santa, Inspyral Circus will be a special guest.

Candy is not to be thrown from vehicles. Candy will be handed out at the park by Santa. Donations of candy can be given to the Chamber of Commerce or to the City of Eufaula.

Parade participants will meet at 5 p.m. in the high school parking lot.

The parade starts at 6 p.m., will move north on Main Street and end up at Posey Park for a tree lighting ceremony and a visit with Santa.

Santa Land ‘23

Heartland Bazaar will hold its annual Santa Land sale event at the Eufaula Armory from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. Over 40 vendor booths will offer a variety of items perfect for Christmas shoppers, including crafts, jewelry and more.

Santa will visit with children in the afternoon.

To hold Santa’s Workshop Santa’s Elves’ Workshop will be held on Nov. 18 at the VFW post on SH 9 East.

Tables are limited, so vendors should sign up now.

Prices are the same as last year.

VFW Auxiliary plans Christmas Party The Lake Eufaula VFW Post 8798 Auxiliary will host a Christmas party at the Post on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

There will be cookies, hot chocolate and more.
