Thank You

A heartfelt “Thank you” to all our wonderful friends and family for all the cards, food, prayers, phone calls, flowers and all expressions of sympathy and love for our family.

Larry was a special fellow and we will miss him always, but knowing you all care so much makes our grief easier to bear.

God bless each of you! Nedra Hays and family

Thank you for donations

Police Chief David Bryning announced last week that $17,156.15 has been raised toward creating a K-9 unit for the Eufaula Police Department.

The goal is $20,000. But he said on police officer purchased his own dog, which will save a substantial amount. Each dog costs $10,000.

Two K-9 officers have been assigned to the new unit and will attend classes in January. Officer Paul Brown has a dog, Kilo, and Officer Jordan Pryor has a dog, Niko. Pryor purchased the dog on his own.

Both dogs are Belgian Malinois. Bryning thanked the following for donating to the cause: Church of God Jones R. Jason Burns R. Burns Bank of Eufaula Bee Well Lake Dog Once A Milner Mama Tigs Shelter Insurance Physical Rehabilitation Last Stop Hunn Black & Merritt Nichols Beale High Street Coffee Rhonda Godwin NAPA Henslee Cash Farmers State Bank Hopkins Cash McAllister Insurance Swepston Musgraves Fox Place Sam Wampler’s Jones Cash VFW Pioneer Business Investment Belt 40 Legacy on Main Street E’s Hideaway LLC Stites Home Furnishings McQuay Construction Dunn Country Chevrolet The word burden is going around. They are saying don’t be a burden to your children. How can you be a burden?

Burden?

Didn’t you give them a place to live? Didn’t you give them food and clothes to wear? Didn’t you take them to the dentist? Didn’t you take them to the doctors when needed? Didn’t you take them to all the carnivals and the circus that came into town? Didn’t you take them to all the parades and all the school activities?

So, friends, the only burden you have is the one you carry, but come to the Lord and serve Him and He will heal you of all your burden. Amen.
