Wildcat Cross-Country teams place second at Gore Meet

The Checotah Wildcat boys and girls cross-country teams placed second overall at the Gore Cross-Country Meet. The Boys’ team placed second with five runners finishing in the Top 25. The Girls’ team placed second with seven runners in the Top 25.

Izayah Tayde finished 6th and Hudson Pollard finished 14th.

The Folkner girls had a great outing as Ruby Folkner placed 10th overall and Ruthy placed 11th overall.

“These guys have a chance to be really good. After just barely missing the state tournament last year we are motivated to be better. I’m very proud of both teams today. The effort they gave was something to be proud of and I’m happy to see their hard work pay off,” Checotah head coach Jason Dowdy said.
