Eufaula Round-Up Club Rodeo rides to success
By Rodney Haltom sports EDITOR,

The 2023 Eufaula Round-Up Club Rodeo was a success this past weekend. Rodeo fans took advantage of being able to watch some fantastic rodeo action. It all started off with the mutton-busting followed by bronc riding, calf roping, breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, barrel racing and the fan favorite, bull riding.

“We love coming to Eufaula because it offers so much. My husband loves this rodeo and us girls enjoy going shopping downtown,” said Sally Hamilton of Paris,Texas.

“I enjoy watching the little ones trying to ride the mutton bustin’. Some of them do a really good job. We’ve been coming here for over 10 years to watch the rodeo as a family and we’ve enjoyed every minute of it,” said Lucas Campbell of Elk City, Oklahoma.

“This is one of the best rodeos around the state. It offers everything you would want to see,” said Sam Pittman of Howard, Kansas.

Fans had the opportunity to let the smaller children ride the ponies while the adults enjoyed shopping with multiple vendors. Over an estimated 500 fans came to the rodeo during the threeday event.. The Ward Cattle Company provided the rodeo stock and they didn’t miss a lick as fans enjoyed watching the cowboys try to ride everything from the broncs to the bulls.

“This is one of the best rodeos around the state. It offers everything you would want to see,” said Sam Pittman of Howard, Kansas.
