Fitzgerald becomes highest-paid WR in NFL history

Larry Fitzgerald is one of the best wide receivers in NFL history and has been paid like one with a new $182,490,000 contract. Fitzgerald is a 16-year NFL veteran and now the highest-earning wide receiver in NFL history.

As a Pitt Panther, he set the single-season school receiving yards record, career receiving touchdowns record, ranks sixth in program history in receiving yards despite spending just two years in college and came within inches of a Heisman Trophy. He also ranks second all-time in NFL receiving yards and sixth in career touchdowns.

Only one other wide receiver in league history – Calvin Johnson – has eclipsed $100 million in career earnings while spending their entire career with one team. $36,170,956 separate his career earnings total from the secondhighest total owned by Julio Jones.
