Texanna Lady Crafters Meeting
By Sue Taylor-Loudermilk COURTESY,

We held our business meeting on June 16, 2023 with minutes and treasurer reports presented and approved. Our President Karen Franz and Vice President Marie Zellner were both out this month, but left us in the capable hands of Lisa Smart.

Deena Carter has finished the Arkansas Corn Hole Boards, and they are beautiful, check our Facebook page, I’m sure there is a picture there. If anyone would like a custom cornhole board, come by the shop and visit with Deena.

Our big news is we are having a bake sale on June 30th and July 1st. Please come by and check what we have out and enjoy your fourth without having to cook these goodies. We have several out due to surgeries and illness, I hate getting old, but our hearts and prayers go out to these ladies every day and hope to see you back crafting soon.

Ladies remember out Bingo Day is September 22nd and Fall Bazaar is October 10-13th.

I have no birthdays for July. A few of the TLC ladies took off for Alma, Arkansas to check out craft supplies and silk flowers, and really have a fun girl’s day out. Well let me tell you, I will be taking my $20 back to Boy Howdy’s in Eufaula. Save the gas money, they’re just about as cheap and I do like to spend locally but we needed an excuse for a day out and had a blast, shopping, lunch, crazy driving people and a lot of laughs. And of course, a stop at Hobby Lobby on the way back to top off a great day.

I hope to see our ladies back soon as we are starting on our fall crafts now. I hope everyone had a safe 4th of July, enjoyed their families, took time off from work, and remembered the soldier who fought and gave us the right to enjoy this day. We enjoy and appreciate being part of this fine county and country and together we stand strong. God Bless everyone. See you soon. We are located on Texanna Road, right across from Dawn’s Café. Look for the little green alien in front of our store, come by and see us. We are open on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Look for the Butterfly board. Stop and take a picture with your family. It’s free.
